JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for candidates experienced in the Insurance Domain with Technology Experience specific to P&C Insurance Industry. Candidates who are deeply passionate about Technology for Insurance are ideal for the role.
As a config analyst, we expect the candidate to have working experience in Insurance application configuration – products, rules, rating, workflows etc. It is an added advantage if the candidate has worked on configuration of systems such as Guidewire, Duckcreek, SSP, Majesco etc. The candidate will also be responsible for managing / co-ordinating across team in terms of right Requirements Specifications, Configuration and Verification & Validation from Functional Context. We expect the person to be extremely proactive and responsible for the tasks allocated. Knowledge on general coding practices, and IT background will be helpful, along with basics in VB .Net Scripting.
Responsibilities at a high level, include :
- Expertise in Business Analyst Requirements / Configuration of IT Systems based on requirement documentation with focus on quality
- Produce detailed configuration specifications based on business requirements and updates to system
- Configuration of the system based on the business IT requirements
- Conduct audits, peer reviews and verification of the configuration program with fellow Business Analysts
- Collaborate with the Implementation Team and other supporting teams to ensure strong configuration quality controls are adhered to
- Accountable for creating, reviewing, and updating documents and procedures throughout the project lifecycle
- Produce detailed configuration specifications based on business requirements and updates to system
- Work closely with our Partners and Customer Success team to elicit, analyze, evaluate, document and report on research programs and/or system configuration requirements and changes.
- Develop Configuration Request User Stories, Use Cases and Acceptance Criteria
- Understand the basic configuration and coding practices
- Work on tickets assigned and ensure timely fixes and delivery
- Develop Business, Functional and Technical Requirements documents.
- Understand and document end-user workflows and user experiences in order to develop clear, concise and testable requirements for the Implementations team
- Flexible with timings and shifts
KEY EXPECTATIONS (Qualification & Skill)
Qualifications & Experience
- Mandatory – Degree in BE/ BTech
- Optional – MBA from Premium Institutes with certifications in Business and AIT (Associate in Information Technology), AINS, CPCU
- Minimum Experience – 2 + Years in a BA + Config role (with working experience in all above-mentioned responsibilities)
- Experience in
a. Industry: P&C Insurance/General Insurance
b. Business Functions: Policy & Claims
c. Technology Platforms: Working experience in any of the leading P&C Insurance Core Technology Platforms
- Experience utilizing Atlassian Confluence and JIRA
- Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) or Platform-As-A-Service (PaaS) product development or business analysis experience a plus.
- Good to know VB .Net Scripting
