Roles & Responsibilities
- Creating data models based on business objectives to determine how data can be stored and organized to support business processes
- Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining an organization’s data warehouse infrastructure
- Developing reports that provide insight into customer behavior or help identify trends in business performance over time
- Conducting quality assurance testing to ensure that systems are functioning properly and efficiently
- Designing and implementing improvements to the warehouse’s structure or adding new features as needed to support changing business requirements
- Maintaining an understanding of current technologies so they can identify opportunities to improve existing processes
- Designing and implementing data models to support business processes and business intelligence needs
- Identifying opportunities for automation of repetitive tasks within the warehouse to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Creating metadata to describe data sets for easier retrieval and analysis, such as defining the structure of a database so that it can be accessed easily by other applications
- Handling any additional responsibilities as and when assigned by the Reporting Authority
Experience & Expertise
- 3-5 years of experience needed.
- Experience as a data warehouse engineer or in a similar role
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design
- Great numerical and analytical skills
Qualification
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master’s is a plus
